The root canal treatment is often completed in 1-2 visits depending on the problem with teeth. It is normal for a patient to feel discomfort with the treated tooth for the first 2-3 days after treatment. The patient may use analgesics in accordance with recommendations of dentist. In some cases, it may be necessary to use antibiotics in support of the therapy. The patient may return to daily life after treatment but should not eat anything before numbness of tooth and operative site is relieved. In addition, patients should avoid chewing hard food before upper restoration of teeth is completed.
