You need to visit your dentist twice as a minimum during the preparation of porcelain laminates. The duration of a visit depends on the condition of your teeth and how many laminates will be prepared.
HOW ARE PORCELAIN LAMINATES PREPARED?
The surface of the teeth is prepared for the porcelain laminates on the first visit. The enamel tissue is removed by approximately 0.3-1 mm from the front side of teeth to prepare the teeth. Then the dental impression is taken, the colour and shape that fit the natural teeth are identified. Then porcelain laminates of leaf thick are prepared and bonded onto the surface of teeth using proper cement.
